Senator Aisha Wahab seeks a full-time Scheduler/Assistant for her Capitol Office to manage a demanding calendar and provide administrative support. This position coordinates all scheduling for the Senator, including meetings, calls, events, and internal commitments, while resolving conflicts, preparing detailed itineraries and briefings, and ensuring timely communication of updates across the team. Duties include, but are not limited to- arranging official travel and reimbursements, maintaining FPPC reporting documentation, greeting visitors, answering phones, processing correspondence, facilitating events and legislative resolutions, tracking team projects and constituent requests, and assisting with onboarding new staff and interns on scheduling protocols. The role also requires managing contact and meeting tracking sheets, providing legislative support as needed, and being available after hours or on weekends to keep the Senator on schedule. Candidates must be exceptionally organized, proactive, with strong interpersonal and written communication skills, sound judgment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and related tools. Experience in a fast-paced office, understanding of the California Legislature, and the ability to anticipate needs and work collaboratively are strongly preferred. The Office of State Senator Dr. Aisha Wahab seeks a full-time Legislative Director for her Capitol Office. Working closely with the Senator and Chief of Staff, the Legislative Director develops and manages the Senator’s legislative agenda, oversees bill drafting and amendments, and guides measures through committees and floor votes while meeting all deadlines and adhering to Senate rules. Key duties include, but are not limited to researching and formulating legislation, analyzing bills, preparing policy briefings, meeting stakeholders and representing the Senator in legislative meetings when needed. The Director supervises legislative staff, interns, and fellows; provides comprehensive trainings for all staff; conducts daily check-ins to monitor progress and offer support; and ensures the Senator is fully briefed before committee hearings and all floor sessions. The ideal candidate has experience in managing a district office, is forward thinking, and has strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Assemblymember Corey A. Jackson is seeking a part-time Field Representative to serve in the Moreno Valley District office. Under the direction of the Member and District Director, the Field Representative acts within the district as an official representative and liaison of the Member.  Key responsibilities include but are not limited to acting as the Member's representative by responding to a variety of constituent inquiries and problems, including professional, interpersonal communications, and responses to telephone calls and mail. Attending local government, community, and private interest group meetings, producing reports describing key issues discussed. Making presentations at events on behalf of the Member. Serves as a liaison between the district and the Member by maintaining an awareness of, and involvement in, district affairs and issues, and reports to the Member as appropriate. Coordinates office procedures, routine correspondence, telephone inquiries, events, and special projects. Assists in the research, public discussion, and drafting of legislation and amendments. Complies with Assembly policies and rules as outlined in the Personnel Policy Manual. Does other related work as assigned.
